Re: Waspatriot #85581
So to address your holidays come and gone. The company has suffered poor consequences with some of decisions made in the past. In discussion with NTEK IMO the holiday specials will not take place. They are dead set against doing any sales as they net no profits, and previously sales eroded all margins making the fins pretty ugly in a pretty decent margin business. The short term benefit of cash in the door has had long term negative impacts. Many things are not always in NTEK’s control. For example, Roku recently changed a bunch of rules including forcing us (NTEK) to use their billing system instead of NTEK’s own, using their PIN system as well. Adapting in this environment is constant and I think for the resources NTEK has at this point this is a pretty global task and they are doing a damn good job! Maintaining and considering all the pitfalls encountered just to have Paramount back is substantial.
Learning from the past they are digging much deeper then we realize into the future and where profits will be. Just read into the tweets from Foley about IPFS (Interplanetary Filing System) It’s about being able to redundantly and efficiently create a single point of storage across multiple cloud locations and servers, and increase database performance of the same. It will impact back end tools, nothing on the streaming side but when it becomes the next internet you can bet UltraFlix will be the most beneficiary of it because they no doubt are striving to be the best pixel displayed technology in the world! Are you aware NTEK is already testing and has 8K working just not in production yet? We all need to keep our eye on the Ultraflix bouncing ball!
Remember this!?
