Agreed. I think they just want to be sure that the high court's ruling that the DEA had no legal right to treat non-THC containing CBD as illegal was final before they sink money into it.
I'm guessing they'll eventually offer both hemp extract and CBD infused products, as so far the CBD threats haven't stopped the sales it. It doesn't look like the DEA is backing the threats.
I believe they were acting, along with the FDA, as "goons" for big Pharma to try and scare off the potential competition until such time that they could beat everyone to the market with a patented compound isolated from same source. They're drooling over the potential profits and perfectly willing, as usual, to play dirty.
