My wifes family was from Gettysburg. We spent a good deal of time on the battle field as my Father in law worked for the museum. To me, both sides in the conflict were equal.Note I said conflict, not ideology. The idea that we can exponge anything from those brave men who represented Both sides is wrong. It is our history. Mankind has a long history of going to battle for a cause that in latter years is looked upon with distain. That "Political Climate Change" over time can not and should not diminish the bravery of those soldiers who, following the leaders of their community at that time,
displayed bravery and valor on the field of battle.
