Agreed. The problem is the DOD procurement cycle takes time to change course. The military is currently transitioning from Androids to I-Phones. SFOR's Mobile Trust is the fix for what is in the pipeline now. You're right though. The next issued mobile devices should be these if they are not cost prohibitive.
