For me, the OTC is so very different from the bigger boards as there are MM's which decide when and where the price will be set. You can jump into an OTC stock with PPS .003 and ride it up to .01 when all of a sudden some MM with a name (ASCM for example) comes in and takes the stock down to .004 in no time at all. So yes, it's very volatile and not for the week of heart.
I must say that I traded only in Nasdaq and tracked 125 or more BioPharm stocks on a daily basis. I made very good money month in and month out by just tracking those stock charts. One day this past summer I happened to see a post about a penny stock called TMPS. This post said it was about to take off. I looked at the chart and volume and thought it looked good. I got in for 150k shares @ .03 and the very next week that stock went over $1.00. I got out on the way down but made a sizeable profit and I have been hooked ever since.
A lot of people will post you absolute lies which sound reasonable. You have to be very, very careful in the OYC.
