I betcha the company that's willing to buy ACS for 100's of Millions is.....TPG! The connections with TPG/INTEL/McAfee/R&G/ACS/SFOR align very good for TPG's Cyber Security Mission, 51% owner of McAfee, to include PUBCO status! wink
TPG acquires ACS and SFOR, and quite possibly if TPG still wants to go PUBCO, that could be done when acquiring a company that's already PUBCO!
Re: Speculation about possible buyouts:
To your point of a company (like TPG) possibly acquiring both ACS and SFOR:
If you were a company wanting to dominate in the cybersecurity market, what good would it do you to acquire only ACS, -since the only products they sell are SFOR's?
And why would you want to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to acquire ACS without also acquiring SFOR, -since SFOR's patents are the basis of what makes ACS valuable?
To guarantee your own company's future success it appears that you would need to buy out and own BOTH ACS and SFOR!
Possible double buyout, -an intriguing thought!
