Leo, the big thing is high density carbohydrates. All grains, especially wheat, potatoes, beans, dairy and sugar. Processed foods are out because they most all contain some of the above. My lunch was just Quinoa with chunks of hamburger, onions, some cauliflower, broccoli and carrots, and an organic tomato souse, Tomatoes are not the best. Here is the paleo diet below that I try to follow.
On, and I have lost 15 pounds in 7 months and my blood pressure is on the low end of normal, it had been over the high limit. I am taking only 20% of the diabetes medication I was on, and hope to be off of it in a month.
