It does cost something to short a stock (margin interest) so when the price is lower, their carrying costs are lower. Plus they are still trying to shake some shares loose from suckers.

But one of the big things might be that they want to hurt the company by making it issue more stock to raise funds -- which means that they think the company can be forced into a bad deal. That is their big mistake. Leo knows better.

Many of us think that at the base of this whole thing is a big pharma that wants to buy the company for cheap, the way they did to ONTY (which was also attacked by Mako). Big mistake. ONTY had taken on toxic financing and their back was to the wall, take the deal or go bankrupt. IPIX is in a totally different state -- no toxic financing, and if they think Leo is a fool who will take a bad deal, boy are they ever mistaken.
