Something y'all might find interested that was shared with me.
This is the primary reason that it will be hard for Samsung to make the switch to large format OLED - their OLED tech is a lot more expensive to convert from LCD than LG's. LG holds many of the WOLED patents so it's not going to be easy for Samsung to play in this sandbox - and the reason IMO they have pushed so hard for QD tech. I think they will stay the course on QLED but will know more at CES 2018 and also who takes over the helm of the company and influence at SDC.
