Attention all TD Ameritrade account holders.
I just got off the phone with TD Ameritrade and after doing some research on the borrowing of stock, this is what they said.
The only way that your stock can be locked is to have a Cash Account. Stock that is in cash accounts cannot be borrowed.
If you have a Margin Account, your stock can be borrowed and there is nothing that can be done to prevent it except to change it to a cash account.
