Leo Ehrlich said that being a royalty company was the model -- IPIX does the research, someone else takes care of the manufacturing and selling while IPIX collects royalties and continues with more research.
I don't think someone will buy the whole company -- I think it's more likely there would be licensing deals for each drug individually (by which I mean -- all uses for Prurisol, all uses for Bril, all uses for Kevetrin -- not each indication licensed separately.)
And remember -- if Prurisol works as we hope, it's possible it might work on other autoimmune diseases like the form of rheumatoid arthritis called "psoriatic arthritis," and other type of rheumatoid arthritis, or maybe lupus or stuff like that.
