Fidelity has lots of interesting rules they utilize to limit their risk. Yesterday I tried to place a GTC for $20.00 per share on a stock I own that is presently trading in the .70's. I wanted to do that so my shares could not be shorted.
They would not allow it claiming the GTC price was too far away from the present price. Interesting thing is that Etrade did allow it. Go NTEK!!!
