great info from wrenchman " I am a mechanic and deal with a FLEET(me and 1 other take care of 200 vehicles)and we had hardwired GPS units for years and just in last few years went to PLUG AND PLAY GPS units. While way cheaper they could create interference with the datastream of the OBD and be delayed etc.."
