The Boston Tea Party was a very exciting event for the people involved and the adrenalin rush must have had them "sky high". But, alas, all good adrenalin rushes come to an end. Take for example a participant by the name of George Hewes.
"With the return home came the inevitable letdown. George Hewes burst in upon his wife, Sally, and regaled her with the whole adventure. "Well, George," she said when he had finished, "did you bring me home a lot of it?" Hewes was reminded again that his wife was more a tea-drinker than she was a Whig."

A massive read in my opinion.
