Time & Sales is interesting, very different from yesterday. We're not seeing many of the pretty big trades, 3-8,000 that we saw yesterday. But there was one 15k+ trade after 11 a.m.
When I see a bunch of trades with very small share counts, 100 or 200 shares, it makes me think they are phonies meant to walk the price down or, as in Alan's theory, to make it look like there is volume when there really isn't (because they're just buying/selling the same few shares between themselves). Or both, of course.
Alternatively, it could be that someone covered their short or went long and is done buying. But it seems odd to have very low volume for weeks, then two days of frantic activity, then down very low again.
