Still, 1.2 million legal shorts is a lot to cover. We WERE at an average volume of 270k, but then it dried up to less than half of that. Even with the increased volume of the past 2 days, it would take about 5-6 days to cover shorts even if all the trading were only short covering.

This is not a comfortable position for shorts to be in.
