Personally, I give the SEC accolades for their handling of PTOI. Several years ago they investigated PTOI's improper accounting of the 'media credits' and discovered PTOI's founder not only knew he was fraudulently accounting for the credits, but also that he conspired with an auditor to sign off on the fraudulent accounting.
The SEC showed PTOI's founder was willing to deceive investors and showed how far he was willing to go to promote his deception. As PTOI's entire value proposition also rests on PTOI's founder's grandiose claims about the 'technology', the SEC's investigation was enormously helpful to all investors as they made their decision on whether or not to trust those claims.
