Thank goodness someone agrees with me that the AMBS "presentation was lackluster." I posted a similar thought on the other site's AMBS board, after stressing that I thought the science was great, that I was long, and not a basher, BUT.... and only 1 guy even commented. Everyone else talked about how great the presentation was. I disagree. I think Dr. C is a great scientist but unlike the scientists I know, he clearly did NOT practice his presentation enough, was disorganized, and didn't stress the most important findings -- he just glanced over the idea that AMBS's drug MANF might be able to be used for people with cardiac problems, to help cardiac tissue regain function. This to me is HUGE -- although there are several companies working on stem cell treatments to help grow new heart muscle, that is a much more major procedure, with much more major risk, than a catheter or needle one-time injection of a drug. I am a huge fan of stem cells and think that it is going to be THE major direction of medical research, after CTIX cures cancer but there are many risks with stem cells at this point, not least of them the fear that the new cells could "go rogue" and form cancerous tumors.

Wait a minute, maybe that won't be such a big concern after Kevetrin is approved
