Thanks for that, fletch. What I find to be the most important thing about this new entry into the field is that at last other companies are following the lead of PRAN and AVXL and NTRP, and looking at OTHER ways of trying to attack the disease. The countless billions that have been wasted on fruitless attempts to find better drugs than the current ones could have been used to try other types of drugs. Instead, the drug companies have kept going down the same failed pathway.
My hope is that one of these small companies will find a good pathway and we'll finally have something that can help people. It would be great if it's AVXL's drug that makes the breakthrough, but I'll be happy if any company can point the way.
My thought about Rodin specifically is that they must have had some kind of decent theory/animal results to be trying this. I sure hope so, anyway.
