I assume that they'd keep using the Bril-OM until they were past the danger period after the last chemo or radiation treatment. I'm sure they must now how long it typically takes for the sores to form, after the radiation.

Too bad McCain is getting his treatment at Bethesda Hospital. If he were doing it at one of the study sites, he could get into the Bril-OM study as this is his first treatment for it . (They need to have people who have not already had chemo and radiation, because there's no telling if the first round of it permanently damages the membranes.)
