Too much 'false equivalence' for me, Leo. Smacks of 'many sides, many sides'-ism.
For years I've read conservative critiques, often justified, of moral relativism.
Now I read and watch the 'moral scolds' and wannabe theocrats, never short of moral rectitude, equivocating about Nazis and the KKK....'fine people on both sides'.....as though that's a tough call.
The other difference? A stunning level of credulousness that leaves the credulous prey to all manner of conspiracy theories and 'fake news'.
Even as I concede that some on the left are guilty of the same, I note that it is a matter of degree.
The right 'buries the needle' on the 'Doofus Meter' that the left barely nudges. LOL!
