Note that IPIX is not OBLIGATED to sell 30 million to Aspire, they just have the option to do so if they want to.
Totally agree that this is helpful for their negotiations. If a Big Pharma thinks that IPIX is desperate, they will offer a crap deal. If they know that IPIX can walk away and stay in business.... they're going to have to negotiate more honestly.
I have said all along that I thought that some Big Pharma might be involved in the Mako take-down action (using them as a front). We KNOW that 1 or possibly 2 Swiss pharmaceutical giants have been involved in such actions in the past.
Also, please note that Mr. Ehrlich refers to Aspire as an institutional investor. Hopefully that will put to rest the absurd basher lie that Aspire's business plan is to buy IPIX stock, then immediately turn around and sell if for a loss.
I view this as a very positive move. IPIX is saying: make a deal with us if you want to offer us a fair one, but if you don't, fine, we have other investors and we'll just keep developing our drugs.
MUCH better than being in a desperate situation, which is what the bashers have hoped for.
