No, the North Korea drama is between them and the crazy US war hawk neocons. South Korea does its own thing in reality (although they follow the US rhetoric to make the US happy).
When I lived in Seoul, there was some drama in country and people protested, but it was against the US military and life still went on as usual other than a few protest flare ups.
The US is making a bigger deal of this than they need to because they are trying to sell an invasion of North Korea to Americans. That's why there's a full court press in the media. In reality, North Korea isn't going to attack anyone. But they do know that if they can defend themselves, the US will think twice before they invade them.
Once the polls say that Americans will accept the invasion without hanging the politicians from a flagpole, the US will invade North Korea.
Same script as Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Ukraine, Syria etc.
