OT holiday post: Dunkirk is an amazing film that needs to be seen in the theater. It will lose a lot played on home video whenever Netflix gets it.
WARNING: take earplugs. It also has a lot of incredibly loud explosions. The actual veterans of Dunkirk said that was the only inaccurate thing about the movie -- they said that the sand and ocean diffused a lot of the sound and that it was surprising that the explosions weren't all that loud.
However, back on topic, when you see the heroism of the average people of that era, it makes it more disgusting to see the sickening selfish and criminal behavior of people who are only concerned with manipulating people for their own profit.
