A Republican congressman proposed an amendment to the upcoming federal spending bill that would all but end Robert Mueller's special investigation of President Trump six months after the bill's passage.
Rep. Ron DeSantis' (R-Fla.) amendment says that no funds from the spending package "may be used to fund activities pursuant to [the special counsel probe] later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act."
