Way back when I was 9 or 10 years old I had a couple of alligators as pets. They were no where near being 12 to 14 feet giants and were probably closer to the 12 to 14 inch range. Alas, I didn't have them long as Bonnie Bell the XIV, the family Boston Terrier, took offence at alligators living in the house.
