The Kondo effect.
We have presented a coherent dataset illustrating the Kondo effect in quantum dots. We have demonstrated the tunability of the Kondo effect between valleys with even and odd numbers of electrons. As well, we have shown that the Kondo temperature in a quantum dot can be tuned with a gate voltage and we have directly measured the Kondo peak in the DOS at B|| = 0 and a split Kondo peak at B|| ≠ 0.
