The announcement today works on a lot of different levels, but not as a large revenue producer. There are established players in the field if we wanted to get serious, and keeping our prices up does not buy marketshare. It works for publicity, as an ad for our volume production in all those NP areas, and as a grand scheme to get early researchers hooked on our QD. There are lots of advantages in going after the early researcher market, but I know of no outreach efforts by QMC ever in this area. I had a plan for it but it did not get off the ground. However, this announcement is a great intro to that market.

This is continuing to set the table for the big stuff, IMO.
