Many people are naive about how easy it is to hide things like IP addresses.
It's also very easy to have a fake name show up on your caller ID. I no longer believe it when I see a number and name come up on my caller ID -- the robocallers are getting much more sophisticated and their calls always show up as being local calls when in fact they're from Florida or Nigeria or somewhere else out of the area.
ESPECIALLY don't believe it when they appear to be from the IRS, or a bank or brokerage.
