Does anyone know -- are veterinary drugs made by the same Big Pharmas that make human drugs, just re-labeled for animals? Or are there companies that only make veterinary drugs?

I know that some people have gotten friendly vets to write them prescriptions for Rover which the humans use themselves, because veterinary drugs are much cheaper than human drugs (for the same drug).

Of course what's hard about doing that is having to mash it up in your food, and then after you eat it, patting yourself on the head and saying "Good boy."
