I just used $14.95 for example. There are articles stating how Cinema sales are down because of increased ticket price. So they need to keep it affordable and add value to it.
Keep in mind that every ticket sold to view the newly released movie will also include the pass to view on UF. What are the chances a family of 4 will view it 4 times. But by offering it on each ticket sale it brings value to the consumer.
Another way to see it, do you realize how many Gift Certificates get sold each year and how many go unused. So consider each UF movie pass as a gift certificate.
Do the math if UF generates $1 off each ticket sales .... now add in commercial revenues on Home Theater viewing shared with the Studios...... BIG MONEY !!!
