Re: Delta #36189
No no I'm not troubled by it, in fact I prefer it in many ways over the original plan. I think charter flights will give them time to get a scaled business plan together while generating revenue. However, we're left with a lot of unknowns that will need answers soon. Even the company doesn't know a lot of the variables, because they're limited by the audit/name change/acquisition fundraising. It will be interesting to see how much the 737 generates per month and how quickly they lease more aircraft. I don't think they'll have $ for leasing 767s or 777s until one of two things happens: 1) Huge investment from institution or individual, or 2) 737 cash flow goes right into leasing more aircraft. Ideally both, but 1 should supersede 2 if possible.

For shits and giggles, let's say they book all 140 (roughly) seats and have two roundtrip flights per week @ $400/ticket average. That's about $450,000/month/plane. Not bad. But until we get some info from a pro forma or other source from the company, this is all a bit misleading.

It would be quite stunning to go from a non-reporting delinquent pink to a cash-flow-positive airline within just a few months.
