I used to wonder why anybody would live in yuma -generally considered to be the hottest inhabited town in the usa -and a good friends parents lived there, with phoenix (meaning the rising sun-more like the burning sun) perhaps the 2nd hottest-I've known people who lived there and who said they couldnt even go outside in the summer- that the swimming pools were even too hot until 10 p.m.-just reporting- any phoenix residents out there?
remember its was phoenix's recent 118-119 degree temps that prevented planes from taking off
tuscon-part of the Gadsden purchase- is also unbearably hot -unless you live in the surrounding mountains
