Watching the video Crunch provided of the interview with Dr. Peter Palomaki, just a few observations.
There is a slide provided at the 38:00 min mark from "Pacific Light Technologies".
There are currently employees formerly of Pacific Light Tech on staff at QMC.
At the 40:30 mark, Dr. Palomaki provides an explanation that QLED retaining 80 % of its properties at around 50,000 hours, that it is a continous degredation.
With a lower heat and lower light flux, they may go to 100,000hours.
QMC has a better heat tolerance than others. "500 degrees"
Moreover, No one would really notice the slow degradation over 34 years of operation 4 hours per day every day. I have to get fishing, hunting and Golfing in the mix somewhere. Not to mention that my wife is a factor....LoL
