My wife has been after me to install a under-the-counter TV in the kitchen so this  weekend I finished  the installation. I already spend over $200.00 a month on cable so I decided to spend 10 bucks on rabbit ears and see how many channels we could get. I was pleasantly surprised to see that we got 5 channels clear and in HD with just a set of non-powered rabbit ears and we live in a rural area over 50 miles from the  nearest metro area. So I went down to Best buy and bought a powered antenna for 70 bucks and WOW, we got in over 15 channels and all were very clear. It      may be a while, but I don't see anything but a bright future for PNCH and other over the air channels even it they never make it to cable or satalite. Calbe is pricing themselves out of range of a lot  of people. I will never quit cable all together, but I am changing all of the spare rooms over to anntenna once I buy an outside set and install it.
