All I'm claiming is the government was the spender of last resort in the absence of collapsed consumer demand.
It was no ordinary 'cyclical recession'....it was much, much worse.
And it's highly doubtful that a president McCain would not have made the same choices. Probably a little less infrastructure spending and a little more tax cuts, but all of it deficit expanding.
