Monetary Authority of Singapore trying to make a proprietary coin. notice all their partners are Ripple partners. Then go to page 27 of the document and read that their prototype will "integrate Ripple and stellar"
Its important to understand a couple of things. Ripple intends to be the ILP of choice but can and will work with every system out there.
Coming up with a proprietary coin will not work with other banks ans will still have to be bridged
None of these systems have SETTLEMENTS figured out which is Ripple's secret weapon.
