On low vol. the MM are trying to cover what they sold to investors. If they didn't have it in stock they have to go out and purchase it and sell it for a loss, if they have to buy at the ask. I think that's is what's happening. Once they cover they will let it go up, unless there is more vol. the MM have control for now. imo.
