Can common shareholders help in this $5M raise? If so, how?
These private money raises are usually done through professionals who set up private third party partnerships into which well-heeled investors invest. The laws allow the company to raise money from up to 35 of these people in each offering, but usually no more than 10 participate. These investors are usually of the type that do not like to share with people they do not know. And, by the way the smallest investment in these things is usually $25K, but I have also seen $50K as a minimum.
