When it comes to energy efficiency it all comes down to R.O.I. (return on investment).Solar is a long way to any kind of decent R.O.I. A positive example is LED lighting which has high returns and is cost friendly.I hope they focus on lighting at this time. Another big negative for solar at this time is not the solar panel cost but the high cost of the auxiliary wiring to convert the low voltage system to high voltage which includes batteries, inverters and transfer switches.
