Sudden onset of Alzheimer's. 58 years old and did not know boo...healthy as a horse. I graduated in 1977 she was sick by 78. and passed in 99... 21 years. My dad tried taking care of her. However a doctor in Illinois forced him to place her in a nursing home. From there other than medical she became a ward of the State. Dad passed in 94 and tried to move her because there was no family in Illinois and I was the closest in Michigan. State said No. Sad part Nursing home was taken over by a corporate. 1st thing they did was call me wanting to do 100's of test on my mother that is in a vegetable state and bed ridden.
Yep...ouch. and Medicine became all about the $$$ around 83-84.
