With my Schwab account which is connected to my capital one checking i dont have to wait at all to invest deposited funds, besides the very first deposit which i did have to wait a few days for . Cant sell an investment made with freshly deposited funds until those funds settle in the trade ,, but when you sell a position you can immediately reinvest it anywhere else , ofc to withdraw the funds to a bank account requires waiting for the settlement date tho
