The original ISO standard of this decade was ISO 15197:2013. As soon as it was released there was substantial grandfathering which went on for over 2 years. Then a protest arose because test strip devices were held to a different standard than CGM devices, so most of 15197:2013 was put on hold. The 15197:2015 is the "fix" and it will eliminate most of the second and third generation strip/meter solutions on the European markets. GenUltimate (Korean alternative) and GenSure will probably sneak by the new standards. GenChoice and GenPrecis certainly will.
