It seems to me that there has been confusion and misunderstanding as to the meaning of the term “market ready”. This confusion has, in my opinion, led us to false expectations as to when the product would actually hit the shelves.
I think the post by ison929 at the “other” site with a summary of his interview with David Furst, Managing Partner of Mediq, gives a realistic time-frame of what has to happen before the psoriasis cream can be sold. I personally don’t have a problem with this.
Here is a summary of a reply that I got from Amir to some issues I raised. As you can see it is consistent with what we have already heard from them all along. Unfortunately it does not clarify what “market ready” means but you are free to interpret it as you wish:
• I can't and won't relate to all this BS spread on message boards by ignorant people or speculators or the last U.S invention "Bashers".
• With all due respect, we are a fully SEC reporting company , supervised by the toughest U.S regulators .
• Between November 18 2016 – January 17 2017 we had "0" news and the stock value increased from 0.08– 0.6$ with no news at all!!
• We are very consistent on pursuing our declared business & operating plan and announced product market readiness by end of Q2 2017
• We have a breakthrough formula that demonstrated incomparable results – not even remotely close results like this were ever demonstrated – we have taken all the necessary means to protect it.
• We are now focusing in getting this product to the market in places that allow MMJ products
• Cannabis is still schedule one drug in 99% of the countries – i.e not legal.
• The result is that, in order for us to introduce our topical cream in CA , or NV or CO or Canada or Germany we will need to find a local manufacturer and distributor per each state . At each state the rep will have to comply with local regulations which are completely different between one to other – as a result different packaging with different disclaimers and manufacturer representations .
• We are the only company in the OTC that spend "0"$ on stock promotion and stock advertising.
• We are one of less than handful Cannabis companies that has real and defendable claims for IP (in fact only GW has what we have).
• Unfortunately, all the cannabis industry is being brutally beaten , especially in the U.S public markets – part of the reason we are looking to cross list to Canada.
• Last but very important – 90% of our compensation is equity related , it is restricted from trading and held with the Israeli Tax authorities for at least until mid-2019, so we do care a lot about the stock price.
You may not like some of the answers but you have to appreciate their need for being very careful not to disclose anything that might be interpreted as insider information. I certainly appreciate Amir’s thoughtful and time-consuming reply. I also take comfort with his last point, and that is they are just as invested as we are to the success of the company.
Maybe what we all need to do is to step back for a while, as some on this board have already done, and remain focused. I truly believe that we will ultimately have the last laugh.
