There are past postings on 1.73% Azomite iron fert and the high price it brings- some on another board-which people are free to retrieve -CWRNs agent had said in public postings on another board and perhaps here also that fert processed further via an onsite plant could bring 330-550/ton- here the literal implication is 261 minimum for fert as is-see past postings re inferior fert etc of other sites
-so I'm guessing they could get 200/ton for fert-iron ore furnaces dont like the smaller stuff- the smaller sinter fines have to be adjusted before put in furnace (see past posts) and thus reap only 85% of price of larger ore
so they are better off selling the small stuff as fert -emphasis added below

The Fertilizer has the highest element at Fe, thus it is considered Iron Ore, the export permit was issued for China only, have to add U.S.A. ; however, as simple as that may sound, it’s a F**king Nightmare.. New change in the Government is taking place now after the election and nothing is getting done… Working on it.. The fertilizer has 3 times more value than the Grade A iron for the Steel Mills at current market conditions, ..
