Thanks for the invitation to the rarified atmosphere of the bridge. Sorry bout the delay in answering-so busy didnt look at email for couple days and then had 6000 emails -and emails were going to simplify our lives ? and yesterday couldnt access the site - ''500'' internal server error messages
re the rarified atmosphere there are 3 or more distinctions re the bridge
it is a cool place to be-all things being equal temp drops 1 degree for every 185' elevation
the atmospheric pressure is slightly lower -thus comparatively rarified- aerobic sports competitors sometimes train in higher elevations to improve the efficiency of their lungs
and you can see farther! i've heard the curvature of the earth is equiv to 1 ft elevation for every mile. If that were true every foot elevation gain above ground level wold theoretically alow u to see 1 mile further to the horizon- would have to check the actual figures bc i think its actually less
