I had a stress echocardiography 5 years ago. An anomaly on my EKG, 'depressed ST segment', triggered the test.
That kind of reading is often associated with ischemia. Not in my case as it turned out.
Anyway, resting echo followed by a treadmill followed by another echo, revealed no ischemia.
However my familial hypercholesterolemia dictated statins for moi.
