I am glad they have it inflation adjusted. The negative of it is they replace falling stocks with rising stars. And buyouts change the line up as well, I got in retail in 1969 and below is what I remember of the top 10 retailers.
1. Sears
2. Montgomery Ward
3. JC Penny
4. SS Kresge (Kmart)
5. Woolworth(Now Foot Locker, Champs Sporting Goods)
8. WT Grant.
The new list has NONE of them in the top ten. Had they still been in the Dow, the DOW would not be so high would it?
