Yeah. I've seen that before. Years ago my grandfather was having bad circulation problems in his feet. His toes were turning black. His local Dr. recommended amputation (as I recall it was to be mid-shin). My Mom though that didn't sound right and made an appt. for him with a specialist in a nearby major city. Long story short-they ended up just amputating the toes and he could walk fairly normally the rest of his life.
Sad part was, he and grandma were just ready to accept it.
I can barely keep up with my own identity and will probably lose my health insurance in the near term, so no surgeries for me.
