I once had a pack of wild dogs come a charging at me while walking on a river levee when I was fourteen. Had moms 22 bolt action rifle with 15 rounds. First 3 rounds shot at pack , no kills , but dogs scattered . Ended up , when aiming I hit 3 before they disappeared into the borrow pit slew woods. Think there was about 8. Coulda been fugly, just lucky had a long arm that day.
